From first call to first quarterly close.

The convictions that shape the platform, the cadence of a deployment from Day Zero through the first reporting cycle, and the conventions that run through everything we ship.

01

What we believe.

These are the convictions the platform is built on. They are not a brand manifesto. They explain why the architecture looks the way it does.

  1. 01

A fund's data should not live in seven vendors' silos.

Single-tenant, exportable and attributable. Your records and your chain of custody.

  2. 02

The right tool replaces five tools. It never adds a sixth.

If we cannot consolidate at least four existing line items, we will tell you the engagement is not for us.

  3. 03

Software that handles capital should be auditable to the row.

An append-only audit log, attributable user identity, and a row-level reconstruction of every dollar that passed through the system.

  4. 04

LPs should be able to answer their own questions.

A scenario-aware statement shortens the IR call, frees up the IR team's calendar, and makes the institution look as modern as it is.

  5. 05

Family offices are PE firms with a wider aperture.

The same spine with more asset types. The wealth overlay inherits the institutional security model, with no second login and no second vendor.

  6. 06

AI earns its keep, or it does not appear.

Document-grounded, citation-required, and evaluated against a held-out set. We never describe a feature as "AI-powered". We describe what the model does.

02

How a partnership unfolds.

From the first conversation through the first quarterly close. There is no twelve-stage discovery cycle and no PowerPoint. The platform is the proof.

  1. Phase I · Day 0

    Tenant & team

We provision the single-tenant environment, confirm the firm name and currency defaults, and invite the first users. There are six built-in roles: super admin, fund admin, deal team, finance, IR and LP viewer.

  2. Phase II · Day 1

    First fund

Vintage, target size, management fee, carry, preferred return, inception and termination. Older funds come in with their wind-down status.

  3. Phase III · Day 2

    Investors & commitments

Each LP is entered against the fund, with a commitment recorded on each investor. Discrepancies, such as a missed LP or a misallocated commitment, surface immediately.

  4. Phase IV · Days 3 – 5

    Historical capital activity

Capital calls and distributions are entered from the oldest fund forward. Historical entries generate pro-rata allocations automatically. As a sanity check, each fund's TVPI should match what was reported to LPs.

  5. Phase V · First deal

    Pipeline through close

The deal enters at sourcing and its documents go into the war room. Deal Lens runs on the data room, the IC vote is tallied, and the closed deal becomes a portfolio company with its own KPI lifecycle.

  6. Phase VI · First quarterly close

    Board packs & LP report

KPIs are entered, covenants evaluated and board packs generated. NAV is refreshed and the Monte Carlo is run. The LP report goes out, with every statement scoped to that LP's commitments.

A house style, by way of restraint.

How we describe the platform, externally and internally.

Words we use
  • Mid-market PE
  • LP-grade, applied to an audit trail, a notice or a statement
  • Single-tenant, which is both a security claim and a positioning claim
  • ILPA-compliant, because the templates actually are
  • Day one, for deployment speed
Words we avoid
  • Revolutionary, next-generation, cutting-edge
  • "AI-powered"We describe what the model does
  • SolutionsWe have a product
  • Best-in-classBe specific instead
  • StakeholderUse the role: LP, partner, CFO

The first call is private. The last is with the same partner.

We do not hand off. The partner who scopes the engagement is the partner who deploys it.
